Keenan Coit, Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties
We got some interesting news from the latest Fannie Mae Home Price Expectations Survey by Pulsenomics. Looks like they're now predicting home prices to jump by 3.8% in 2024, which is a pretty big leap from their earlier 2.4% guess.

Why the change? Well, it boils down to not having enough homes for sale and the chance that mortgage rates might drop. They're even thinking that 30-year fixed mortgage rates could hit 6% by the end of the year.
This is great news if you already own a home, as your place could be worth more. But, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, especially if you're looking to buy. With homes in short supply, prices are likely to keep climbing, making it tougher for folks wanting to get into a new place. So, while it's a thumbs up for homeowners, buyers might have to brace for a bit of a challenge.
